Here’s how it works… you pay a $60 fee to DPOR to transfer your license. It’s held by the referral company. You will continue to do your CE and renew your license every 2 years.
If at some point you get an opportunity and you WANT to go active. It’s super easy to move you back over full service and back to doing regular business! Either with AMW Real Estate or wherever you came from!
Or, just let it sit and when an opportunity to refer someone to another professional comes along you can interview agents to refer a lead to. Help them make a connection with someone you think they would work well with, locally or afar.
How does the referral company make money? Say you send a referral and ask an agent to pay you a 25% referral fee, for example. When it closes and the check comes in you keep 20% and the company will keep 5%. Send a 30% referral… you keep 25% and the company 5%. That’s our policy. Simple and if you aren’t making money you aren’t paying to hang your license!
